Lady Million Paco Rabanne -Perfume Review

Hey Guys!

This will be a quick review of Lady Million By Paco Rabanne.

Lady Million, is a fun, sweet, flirty scented perfume. It has the perfect blend of fruity and floral. Like a bouquet of Rose- Jasmine Orange Flower.
It has a rich scent while avoiding the 'shampoo' smell that can often occur in perfumes.
As strong as the scent is, it still holds a lot of femininity.
Lady million, is the female counterpart to 1 Million the male perfume.

The perfume has great lasting power and the scent is strong.
I love the smell and if you like bold scents you will like it too!

It is quite expensive. But i got my bottle 80 oz bottle for free =]
Speaking of the bottle, It is gorgeous! Its gold glass and a gold colored metal like material on top. It is in a sort of hexagonal shape of sorts.

Christmas! and Life.

Hey All,

Lately Iv been getting a reallll big christmas feeling!
Which I never usually get. But this year i just can't get it to go away.
I don't even know what Im So excited about.
I have a few things that i really want to get, so anything i buy online from now to xmas, Im gonna wrap up and put under my tree.
So il have a big collection of prezzies to open!

Im actually SO happy with where I am right now.
Im getting further with Make Up and more opportunities are arising.
My band will hopefully have our CD out by Christmas.
so in between now and christmas its all non stop!

Im doing make up stuff for october.
then once November starts My band and I should be heading into the studio to record our CD.
Before/After that our official band photos will be taken.
Then when All that band stuff is together and done!
I can breathe. Enjoy christmas. Then see what the new year is going to throw at me.
Im going to be 19 on January the 2nd... its crazy, time flies. Although for the first time ever i actually feel as old as my age.

I intend to get tattoo's in the new year as well. So Im pretty psyched for next year.
I really think Im going to be a big ball of festivity this December haha.
And this is the happiest Iv been in ages.

Btw, I was in Penny's the last day, and they have some seriously nice clothes in there!!

Im growing a serious obsession for shoes.... LOTSA different types of shoes.
also, I think by now, Iv seen every single episode of Steve Wilkos.
at nighttime when tv gets crappy, i turn to youtube, watch some Steve Wilkos, its quite enjoyable.

Im also growing a deep Obsession for Butterflies, my room is filled with gold and sparkly butterflies hanging from the ceiling and on the walls.

ALSO, my favorite perfume at the moment is Lady Million by Paco Rabanne. Its amazing.

MAC Foundation Review

Hey all,

Ok so i felt the need to do this review because there is a lot of rumors and taboo's about Mac's foundation.
You will read stories of make up artist's noticing models running to a bathroom to wipe of Mac foundation after a photo shoot. All because it 'damages' skin.

FIRSTLY.
If a foundation is a 'full coverage' foundation then it covers your skin, you are blocking pore's, not matter what foundation you put on blocks your pores and this if not cleaned of correctly results in spots.
People have an incorrect cleansing routine or no routine at all. THIS is what makes dirt back up and damage skin (resulting in spots, blackheads)

A make up artist, unknown to most people hardly EVER applies foundation ALL over the face.
a good make up artist will look where there is discoloration on the clients face and will apply concealer to these places. He/She will then apply foundation over the concealer to even out the skin tone.
Make Up is about looking NATURAL.

I have never come across any problems from using Mac foundation, and my clients have never complained about any 'damage' to their skin from me using Mac foundation on them.

Here's some advice:
Buy a good conealer.
Buy a good foundation.
apply concealer to the uneven parts of your skin then apply a SMALL amount of foundation over the concealer to make the skin look all the one color.

MAC 208 Angled Brow Brush/Perfect for Eyeliner

Hey Guys!

One of the hardest things to learn how to do its perfectly straight eyeliner.
Its tough i Know.
But the best tool you can buy for doing flawless eyeliner is an angled brush.
An angled brush will give you the perfect cat eye.
Mac has an Angled Brow Brush that is perfect for liner.

Mac's Angled Brow Brush number 208 is 19.50 and it will be your best friend for really tricky things.
This Brush can be used to apply powder, liquid products or cream products.
For example if you have applied Lipstick, you could use the brush to apply powder to the edges of your lip to give you lips a neater look.
It can be used for applying eyeliner.

It really is one of those 'Must Have' products.
That every make up artist needs in his/her kit.

Here is a link to the MAC site where you can purchase it...  CLICK HERE

Taylor Momsen Revolver Magazine

Hey All.

So Taylor Momsen is not one who shy's away from making a bit of controversy.
I mean she performs with her band 'The Pretty Reckless' in lingerie and corsets.
Of course the big issue being she's 17.

But considering she's been dressing like this for two years. WHY are people outraged at her revolver photoshoot????? i mean, she's been doing this for two years. If she has not stopped by now from all you guys complaining i really don't think she's going to do it now!

Personally, I like her...do i think she's a spoilt brat, clinging onto a stereotype to be a 'rocker' YES.
But i like the band she's in and i just like her.

When all the media do is popularize sex, and send all these sexual messages to children, WHY do they then complain when children grow up and dress 'sexually' at a younger age?!!!??
I do believe women are objectified too much and exploited. But i do hate when men think they own a woman's sexuality. IF a woman wants to dress sexually, its because it makes her feel good. ITS NOT ALWAYS FOR MEN.
if children are being influenced by taylor then PARENTS are not doing their job properly.
Taylor wanted to be a musician/model/actress.
she never set out to be a role model. So there's no point complaining she's a bad one. She really is not going to care.
I do think she dresses a bit extreme for her age but, when children grow up with sex being shoved in their faces.... how do you expect them to turn out?!?

Style Mania/ReInvention/New Life.

Hey Guys!

I usually reinvent myself A LOT!.
This way I never get bored with myself and always feel like something 'new' and exciting and not same ol' Bekka.
I became obsessed with reinvention when i was about 16.
I generally base it on how i feel as a person at the time.
I usually reinvent myself whenever i feel iv grown or surpassed what I am.

And guess what peeps........ Its that time again.
ALTHOUGH I have to say, this is the most natural of them all... it kind of naturally progressed this way.
I started growing a lot of confidence in myself and building it up.
To the point where i wanted my self confidence/belief to be for so long. Now that its finally there, Im going to use it.

My style is very rocker chic:

  • Heeled boots.
  • Leather Jacket.
  • Studs & Spikes.
  • Lace.
  • Crucifix.
  • Cross.
  • Corsets.
  • Skirts.
  • Tartan.
Its not stereotypical goth or anything. Its tastefull.

I love it and make no apologies for it.
Being a woman is something women NEED to embrace.
If you want to dress sexually, you shouldn't feel like this is allll for a guy.
I HATE the fact men assume they own a woman's sexuality.
If you want to dress that way because it makes you feel good, then DO IT.

My style is VERY like Christina Aguilera (during the 'Stripped' era) Mixed with Taylor Momsen.

Both strong people who don't give a shit about what others think of them and i really respect that.

I think being able to wear what you want with confidence will only come when you finally accept yourself and love yourself for who you are.
Im very much obsessed with my hair.
I love the bleach blonde look, and Iv been working on it for a while and repairing it because it does take a lot out of your hair.

I think half the reason Im so excited about the end of this year and next year is because of this.

I saw the most beautiful leather jacket and i neeeeed it!
it was kinda expensive but.... its a leather jacket with pretty spikes....
Its Definitely on my 'to get' list.
Im also hoping within the next two weeks to get my new hair extensions.

Everything is actually starting to sort itself out now.

Why I Review Products...

Hey Guys!

So a few people wonder why i actually bother blogging about cosmetics.
well here's why:

I am brutally honest with people and things.
I attended make up college to become a professional, i went through the ranks a beginner make up artist goes through.
Being young, people look down on you and don't exactly respect you.
If your talented, they might like you even less because you are a threat to them (other artists) and their jobs.

I worked hard, and studied hard and ignored the crap you get thrown at you in any aspect of the beauty industry.
I then made up a portfolio of face charts, sketch boards of idea's or looks to go with the fashion for the seasons.

I sent them off and pestered certain people.
I then got contacted by cosmetic company's - which is actually quite common.
I got asked to review their products, and give an honest opinion.
and thats what i do.
they allocate reviewers in different area's in different countries.
I am unaware how many reviewers there are in the west of ireland or Ireland.
I have been collecting make up for years and have a good knowledge of products this is what gives me the right to pass comments on products, but at the end of the day its my opinion and you don't have to take it as biblical fact.

I actually enjoy blogging and make up is a passion so i enjoy if and i hope you guys who read it enjoy it too!!

Mac Little Darlings Eyeliner Review

Hey All!

This is going to be a review of Mac's Little Darlings Eyeliner set.
I am unaware of the prices but i think they are about 30.00 Dollars.

They set looks like this:
The packaging is the same as the pigments. Its simple, pretty and Adorable!

There is a total of 5 pencils
Fab Orchid- a deep purple with glitter colour.
Mint & Olive - a lime green color
Peacocked- a turquoise blue.
Chocolight- a copper brown with gold glitter.
Black Funk- and a black.

I LOVED these pencils!
I love eyeliner's that 'melt' as you put them on your eyes.
I hate having to press hard with an eyeliner to get color its annoying and hurts your eye.
These pencils easily put color on your eye and doesn't hurt when you apply it to the waterline.
My Favorite was the deep purple - Fab Orchid.
It looks dark when you put it on, but the purple color comes through and it looks great of you want a smokey eye look without using jet black.

There is a pencil for all types of looks.
Fab Orchid and Black Funk for smokey eyes.
Mint and Olive & Chocolight - nude/day looks.
Peacocked - fun/dramatic look.

The Pencils are great quality, great color and a pretty reasonably price for 5 Mac eyeliners!

I received these from a friend who where in America, I wasn't aware this range was out, because i was deprived with no internet!
But i am so thankful, i really love these.

These aren't available in mac stores as this is an old range but you will find them online.

Serena Van Der Woodsen Style & Fashion

Hey All!

So this is going to be a blog looking into Serena's style from Gossip Girl.

Serena's style is quite obviously inspired/influenced by Kate Moss.
Her style is very fashion forward and mixes with vintage pieces to give it a Boho chick style.
she generally finds a way to throw something onto an outfit she's wearing to make it slightly edgy or sometimes crazy!

But Serena's style is also evidently influenced by the upper east side.
Her clothes always have an element of Chic to them.
Her clothes sometimes look simple but they are actually really expensive designer pieces. This simple of expensive look gives Serena that 'girl next door' image.
Alot of the time she has a 'I found this on the floor and threw it on' look.
This is in fact easy to emulate with cheap clothes.

Serena has a huge rage of jackets that are well cut to highlight her figure. This is a signature item of clothing when it comes to Serena.
Her closet would consist of jackets - all different cuts, long short, cropped all styles!

Another 'Serena' piece of clothing is skinny jeans.
she has a lot in different colors. This is again the Kate Moss inspiration.

Because Serena has the Boho style by day, whenever she wears a dress its usually extremely Feminine!

Serena is usually great at using accessories.

Boots.
Lots of necklaces
and Bangles

Serena's hair
Her hair is very much 'the all american girl' or 'beach style'
Its usually wavy and has ash highlights going through it.
Blake Lively uses hair extensions to get her long and full head of hair.

Hope you guys enjoyed this!

Blair and jenny coming soon!

Mac Little Darlings Pigment Review.

Hey All!

This Is going to be a review of MAC's little darlings warm pigments!
I got these pigments about a year ago.

These are the 'Warm' ones:

I have in total, 150 Normal MAC pigments so i have a lot of colors.
So when MAC release new pigments in sets, i don't run out and buy them as i have almost every shade I need - but i have been collecting for years and people buy me make up for my birthday/christmas and so on.
BUT, I got these for christmas and i was pretty excited.
Unlike a lot of MAC other pigments, which are either very glittery or shiny.
These were very shimmery. But i loved them. Also, they were in fact different from other pigments i have.I loved the colors and they feel like smooth fairy dust =]
I really loved the Glitter One. It is perfect for a disco look, or even just to place in the corner of the eye completely changes a look!

Im not sure exactly how much they cost, but i think it was around 30.00 Dollars.

They are in my opinion good value for money.
They are small little glass jars, they are not the usual mac pigment size.
The jars are small, but these pigments are verrrry pigmented (strong in color) So you wouldn't use too much at a time, so they will last you quite a while.

These pigments are good for nude/natural looks but adding a bit of girly glamour from the shimmer off the pigments.

I loved these, and i really hope to get the set with the teal blue and pinks soon somewhere online.
The packaging they come in is simple yet quite adorable,
its a simple red circular box.

5 Come in a box, and there is different types in each set, this being the warm one has the nudes & beige's.
Other sets have pinks, purples and are worth checking out!

Seeing Paramore November 6th!

Hey Guys!

On Saturday, November 6th i will be seeing Paramore live in the O2.
This will be my 3rd time seeing them live. Im fairly excited.
I have gone to every show they headlined in Ireland and they never fail to impress me!

They are a pretty good live band!

I first saw them when they did their first ever show in Ireland.
The venue was the RDS and it was the RIOT! Tour. It has been my favorite from the two shows iv seen.
The second time I saw them was at the O2 last December. This was the Brand New Eyes Tour.

I love being in the O2!
I just love the atmosphere and excitement that takes over when your there.

So needless to say, Im pretty excited about seeing them again!

Maybelline Superstay Lipstick - Review

Hey Guys!

I recently received these products and decided instead of just trying it out quickly. Id put its name to the test and see how long it would last on my lips. (both had the same result so i only did one review on them)

I put it on in the morning and carried it with me for top ups in case i was going to be having lunch and would need to reapply.
After i had first put the color on my lips, my lips dried up, they wer like cement. A really tight feeling which is nasty. So thinking the balm will obviously sort this out, I applied the balm.
The balm did give it a more lip balm feeling and took away the dry and tight feeling on my lips.
But within an hour it had faded, and i was left with a horrible outline on my lips as if i had just applied lip liner.
Now, I know a professional make up artist would put lip liner on the whole lip so the color would hold better. But the average woman (or man!) buying this without prior make up knowledge would not know this and these are the people the lip stick is aimed at. So i used the product as it was, because it is advertised without mentioning lip liner.

I had not eaten or had any drink during the hour so i was incredibly disappointed with the end result.
In my opinion any 'superstay' or '12 hour stay' and so on, lip products all do the same, they dry into the lips and then fade leaving an outline.

Also, during the time i was wearing it, when the balm was starting to wear off the lipstick was peeling and i could feel it on my lips, NOT A NICE FEELING.

So i was not impressed with this product and would not buy it.
they didn't do what they advertised they do.
